Erin attended Virginia Tech where she completed her undergraduate and graduate degrees in Human Nutrition Foods and Exercise. Her thesis work aimed to identify and understand health outcomes related to artificial sweetener intake. She went on to complete her dietetic internship at the Medical University of South Carolina and has since lived in the Raleigh and Wilmington areas. Erin has worked with a variety of medical conditions including overweight and obesity, diabetes, heart disease, kidney disease, and gastrointestinal issues. Her favorite part of nutrition counseling is learning about a patient’s lifestyle and needs, creating individualized meal plans, and working through sabotaging thoughts and feelings to improve food behaviors. In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her family and friends, and going anyplace where she can bring her puppy Bodie.
